He has said he built the company specifically to serve that underserved segment of smaller and mid-sized operators.

Unlike many maintenance contractors that specialize exclusively in either wind or conventional oil and gas equipment, Plains Energy Services has maintained technical capacity across both sectors, an approach Noor has said provides more stable year-round work for the company's technicians compared to firms dependent on a single energy source's maintenance cycles.
